After offering our Free Blogs to some friends and family, I received the following message:
Am I being really massively thick… …but what the heck is a “free blog”?????
Let me share a secret with you – three years ago I knew nothing about blogs, I had never used the internet for anything more than email, surfing and chatting to friends and I could only barely do any of that! But one day I discovered a blog and after surfing from one to another (blogs tend to link up to other blogs a lot) for a few hours I was hooked and wanted to start my own.

I would say that “No, you are most definitely NOT being massively thick – and I think I need to explore the question a little more so that people understand the basic concept of Blogging”.
Everyone has a different opinion of how to explain what a blog is. The name Blog came about from the words weB and LOG and essentially a Blog is just a website!
A Blog in its most basic form can be used as a journal that is available on the web and can typically be updated by logging into it to update and create new content without the need of any technical knowledge.
The activity of updating a Blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a Blog is a “blogger”.
Our Free Blogs make it easy to post content, photos and media, share your thoughts with the entire world or what ever else you can think of, all while letting your readers interact by leaving comments and linking to your content.
Blogs today can be about any subject, written by one or many authors and certainly are not all personal diaries. Personal reflection, opinion and tone all have a place in blogs, but that doesn’t affect the breadth or scope of topics covered.
